This moment means more than I expected

Dear Reader,

I didn’t expect this.

After everything that came with the Women Thrive Summit, the preparation, the nerves, and the moment of actually showing up and delivering my talk, I was already sitting with a deep sense of gratitude.

And then this happened.

I’ve been nominated for a Women Thrive Speaker Award.

When I saw my name, I paused. Not because I was surprised I did a good job, but because of what it represents.

This wasn’t about being perfect. It was about showing up fully, trusting my voice, and allowing the message to land where it needed to.

And to now be recognized for that feels significant.

I’ve been nominated for: Most Inspirational Speaker

And also for Speaker of the Year.

I’m still taking that in.

If you were in the room, if you watched the replay, or if you have been following my work and something has resonated with you, I would genuinely appreciate your support.

If you want a deeper look into what that experience was like for me, I wrote a reflection that walks through the full journey leading up to the talk and what shifted for me in that moment:

That post is really the fuller story. What it looked like to move forward without feeling completely ready. What it felt like to be in the room. And what I learned about confidence in real time.

The awards ceremony is happening on Thursday, April 23rd at 8am CST, and I am looking forward to being part of that moment alongside so many women who are using their voices in meaningful ways.

More than anything, this feels like a reflection of something I talk about often.

Confidence is built through action.

This moment is a result of saying yes, even when I did not feel fully ready.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
Jennifer

P.S. If you do take a moment to vote, thank you. I truly appreciate it.

The Flourishing Note™ Hi Reader, This newsletter was supposed to land in your inbox yesterday. I knew it was coming. On Friday I was already thinking about it. Over the weekend I turned the idea over in my mind, tested a few angles, felt the shape of what I wanted to say. Monday I sat down and worked on it. And then Tuesday morning arrived, I moved through my morning, and it was not until I was getting ready this morning that I realized I had never finished it. Never sent it. My first...

The Flourishing Note™ Hi Reader, Last week on the blog, I wrote a post called You Were Never Invisible. It was about learning to be seen without shrinking. It was also about what I have come to call sustainable visibility, my word for 2026. Today I am doing the thing I wrote about. This is the first official issue of The Flourishing Note™, a new rhythm I am committing to every other Tuesday. Not because I have it all figured out. Not because I have built a perfect system. But because I am...
